INFINITI promises its customers a unique take on Modern Japanese Luxury by combining Power and Serenity. In today’s busy, chaotic and unpredictable world, INFINITI offers a powerful and serene experience to empower people on the road and in life.
Our visual identity is a visual manifestation of this ambition. The horizon is the core inspiration for our graphic system. Building off of our logo’s original meaning, it takes inspiration from natural elements, and leans into traditional notions of Japanese beauty. We stand for a premium, luxurious minimalism that prioritizes the experiential over the material, and aims to provide an impression that inspires the senses.
Visual Overview
Logos
Primary Logo
Our primary logo consists of a symbol and a wordmark. Our symbol visualizes the open road, going off into the horizon. Our wordmark is spaced out to echo that horizon even more. The primary version of the logo should always be considered first when selecting a logo.
Secondary Logo
The secondary logo has a more horizontal composition. Providing us with another option for wide applications, or better alignment with design features on a product.
Logo Clearspace
The logo is an important brand element and should not be crowded by other graphic elements. Maintain a minimum of 3/4x of clear space around the logo.
Logo Minimum Size
Where possible the logo should always be shown in full. However, minimum sizing rules apply. If the logo needs to be displayed smaller, please use just the symbol to represent the brand.
Note: In the case of merchandise, minimum size requirements may change depending on how the logo is being reproduced (e.g. printed vs embroidered). Always ensure the legibility of the logo is not compromised.
Color
Primary Palette
The following colors make up our primary palette, which should be used the most across merchandise. More details can be found in the color usage section.

Accent Palette
Our accent palette gives us the flexibility to add touches of color or customization to a product. More details can be found in the color usage section.
Typography
The INFINITI Brand typeface was designed exclusively for our brand. It was designed with our unique tone of voice in mind and should be used for all internal and external communications. There are three weights that all have specific uses. Note: This typeface was designed in 2016 and has not changed.

INFINITI Brand Light
INFINITI Brand Light is our primary typeface and should always be considered first when typesetting. It is used for headlines, titles and body copy.
INFINITI Brand Regular & Bold
INFINITI Brand Regular is used for small body copy and whenever the light weight becomes too thin to read easily.
INFINITI Brand Bold is used for
subheads, highlights and whenever there is a need to add hierarchy to information-dense applications.
Language Support
For languages not supported in the current version of the INFINITI Brand typeface, use the specified regional typefaces for visual consistency.
INFINITI should always be written in roman alphabet, even in other languages like Japanese (e.g. in romaji, not katakana).
Horizon Graphic
The Horizon Graphic visualizes the horizon at the end of the road and serves as an extension of our logo. It signals a sensory approach to luxury and embodies traditional Japanese notions of beauty.

Horizon Graphic Variations
The following Horizon Graphic variations can be used as alternatives to the primary version when needed. Each variation retains our signature blue and gold color scheme.
LEFT ALIGNED
The left aligned variation may be more suitable depending on the placement of the logo, typography, or photography in layout. Use accordingly. (Note: Simply flip or mirror the Horizon Graphic asset to achieve this).
CENTER ALIGNED
The center aligned variation is most suitable when an application is very tall and narrow. See usage examples. (Note: This is a seperate downloadable asset).
FULL BLEED
The full bleed variation can function more as a background. It retains the essence of our Horizon Graphic but is a less distinct expression, so it should be used sparingly. (Note: Simply crop the Horizon Graphic asset at the bottom of a layout to achieve this result).
Color Variations
The following Horizon Graphic color variations can be used to create a different tone and feeling. These variations retain the use of Gold, but integrate White or INFINITI Gold 20% instead of Blue.
These should be used in secondary touchpoints, and never as an alternative to the primary Horizon Graphic. Given they use White, they are also more print friendly.
Downloadable Assets
Below are downloadable low resolution and high resolution Horizon Graphic assets at various sizes. Low resolution assets can be directly downloaded, while high resolution assets can be accesed on DNA. DNA has two regional servers, so if one link doesn't work, please try the other.

Graphic Line
The graphic line serves as an additional visual tool within the new INFINITI system. It references the look and feel of the Horizon Graphic through color that begins to fade from right to left, alluding to the concept of light.
The graphic line is created by using a gradient. For a smooth transition, the gradient slider should be situated in the middle (50%) of both colors.
Principles
The following principles should always be referenced before creating any new merchandise.
1. Design for Distinction
Our merchandise should feel unequivocally INFINITI. Let’s use our new brand aesthetic, tools, and spirit to our advantage to set us apart and communicate our unique INFINITI story.
2. Japanese DNA
Merchandise that taps into and reflects our Japanese heritage through the eyes of Modern Japanese Luxury will help tell our story with authenticity. This can be done through the use of natural materials (e.g. wood or ceramics), through local product collaborations with Japanese artisans or brands, or through distinct design features of a product.
3. Premium Minimalism
The simpler the better. Products with considered brand integration, minimal design features, and quality materiality will help give a more elevated and elegant quality to our merchandise.
4. High Quality
The high quality craftsmanship and premium qualities that go into the design and creation of our vehicles should also be felt through out merchandise. Additionally, offer products that are inherently desirable and premium (e.g. glasses, luggage, or watches).
Procurement Spectrum
The following spectrum shows the various levels of output our merchandise should achieve. Each tier allows us to target our audience in different ways and ensures quality is consistent at every level.
Tier 1 allows us to create the most bespoke items. These would involve collaborations with like minded brands or local artisans. The expression of our brand can vary, but our values and story are always present.
Tier 2 is for items that are more luxurious, and require customization and tailoring. The integration of the brand is very strong through the use of our distinct color palette, materiality, logo finishing, and graphics.
Tier 3 is for items that are considered necessities or popular amongst customers. These take a simpler approach to brand integration but never sacrifice quality. Time to procure maybe be quicker.
Logo Usage
Primary Logo Placement
Due to its centered construction, the primary logo should always be centre aligned vertically (top, middle, or bottom).
In cases where the centre point of a product is obstructed (e.g. jacket zipper), the logo placement can shift over as needed.
Secondary Logo Placement
Due to its more horizontal construction, the secondary logo is best placed on the left or right side of a surface. If the surface area is not very large, the secondary logo can be placed right in the middle.
Detached Symbol Usage
In very specific use cases, the symbol can be isolated from the logo and used on its own for further brand flexibility.
Note: Always consult with the Global Brand Team before implementing the logo in this way.
Logo Color
The INFINITI logo is only ever set in white or black. White logos appear on INFINITI Blue or black, while the black logos appears on INFINITI Golds and white.
Note: The logo color can be the same color as the material color when using production methods such as blind embossing or embroidery.
Partnership Lockups
When creating a lockup with a partner logo, the goal is to create visual balance between the two logos. Partnership logos should be separated by a grey line and positioned 3x (3 times) the height of the INFINITI wordmark from the logos.
Our partners may have logos with different proportions, and should be scaled optically to feel similar in size to the INFINITI logo. Please download the template below for additional guidance.
Logo Don'ts
Don't crop the logo.
Don't outline the logo.
Don't rearrange the logo.
Don't use accent colors for the logo or behind the logo.
Don't use the logo as a pattern.
Don't alter the linework of the logo.
Color Usage
INFINITI Blue and INFINITI Gold
To make our merchandise distinct and branded, the ideal color pairing to use is INFINITI Blue with INFINITI Gold. INFINITI Blue should be used dominantly, with INFINITI Gold integrated as an accent.
The accent of INFINITI Gold can be integrated in two different ways:
1. On the exterior of a product, such as a jacket zipper or luggage handle.
2. On the interior of a product, such as the interior lining of a sunglasses case or bag.
INFINITI Gold Products
Gold can be used as a full flood of color if the materiality of that product conveys a premium quality (e.g. shiny metal).
When considering this type of usage, please consult with the Global Brand Team.
Black & White Color Usage
Black and white should only be used in two instances:
1. Either blue or gold versions of that product are unavailable or don’t suit the product.
2. It’s practical and sells well for that particular product.
Note: Since heavy use of white is connected to our previous identity, it’s important that we minimize it’s usage.
Accent Color Usage
Accent colors can be used on products, but should be done in both a minimal and functional way. For instance, to distinguish different types of workers at an event, different colored lanyards can be used.
Color Distribution
By properly distributing color across products, we can ensure our merchandise does not look too monochromatic, and also provide customers with options. The following diagram roughly illustrates how color should be distributed overall.
Color Don'ts
Avoid using accent colors in a prominent way, or using more than one within a single product.
Avoid an abundance of white products, which would not be a reflection of our brand palette.
Avoid a sea of blues. Any product using INFINITI Blue should accurately resemble the values outlined in the color section.
Avoid applying INFINITI Gold to the logo.
Avoid using gold stitching for a product.
Materiality & Finishing
Materials
A lot of attention is put into the look and feel of the interiors of our vehicles – as should our merchandise. All materials that are used in the creation of merchandise should be of high-quality and craftsmanship. The colors of these materials should either:
1. Reflect the colors in our palette
2. Be used in their natural, purest form (e.g. wood, kraft paper, ceramic).
Avoid the uses of materials that appear luxurious but are cheap in actuality (e.g. printed wood patterns). The following are some materials the will commonly be used across products.
Logo Finishing
The logo will need to be reproduced in a variety of different ways depending on the needs of a product and its materiality. Always ensure that the legibility of our logo is never sacrificed when being produced in any of the following ways.
Note: The following examples are digitized examples.
Materiality & Finishing Don'ts
Avoid production quality that would make the logo illegible.
Avoid using a real gold looking materiality.
Avoid poor craftsmanship that can lead to peeling or chipping. (Example above shows a book crease)
Graphic Usage
Horizon Graphic
When appropriate, the Horizon Graphic can be integrated onto a product. This can be done in two ways:
1. Reproducing the actual Horizon Graphic artwork in print
2. Resembling or eluding to the horizon graphic through various production methods. In this instance, INFINITI Blue and INFINITI Gold can be used as a gradient, instead of using the actual Horizon Graphic.
Horizon Graphic Speckle
One method for referencing the horizon graphic instead of directly using it can be to use a speckled finish on products.

Infinite Wordmark
An additional graphic tool that can be used on merchandise is the Infinite Wordmark. This is constructed by either repeating the INFINITI word mark horizontally along a line, or repeating it horizontally and vertically to form a pattern. When using this graphic, ensure the primary or secondary logo are also present.
Note: Before using the Infinite Wordmark, please consult with the Global Brand Team.
Brand Messaging
Brand messaging can be used on products to communicate our brand story & values. When doing so, apply messaging in minimal ways. When using messaging, ensure the primary or secondary logo are also present. Follow all typesetting rules mentioned in the Typography section.
Note: Any messaging used on products must be approved and receive validation by the Global Brand Team (e.g. shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.).
Graphic Usage Don'ts
Avoid over using the horizon graphic within one product.
Avoid the use of actual horizon photography on products.
Avoid creating new graphics that are not shown within this guideline (unless they have been approved by the Global Brand Team).

The front of a jacket should feature a smaller version of the INFINITI logo (primary or secondary) with the option of including a larger logo on the back, or within the interior lining (See 4). INFINITI Gold accents can be introduced along the zipper or other small areas. Jackets should be slim/fitted, appropriate for active or outdoor activities.
